Whatzit?
This iPhone widget matches a network host name (eg, cornell.edu) with a numerical network address (or IP address: in this example, 128.253.161.179). It also uses GeoIP mapping to return geographical information (eg, Ithaca, NY) -- click on the location to see it in iPhone's Google Maps browser!
Howzat?
Go ahead and slap a URL, hostname or IP address into the input field -- myipho.net/dns will figure out what you mean.
Eh? Why?!
This is intended to be useful for someone debugging a network system (in which case the iPhone's independent EDGE networking will be helpful) or for its simple GeoIP integration.
There's obviously nothing wrong with using this on the non-iPhone. In that case, enjoy its small, speedy interface!

Sure: here's the crufty perl code. It's Copyright 2007 Philip Kromer (me), and distributed under GPL 3.0.
Okay, then.
Cheers!
